The paint is older and has some wear and tear with some peeling paint, scratches etc….It still shines nice and this would be a great candidate for a re-spray or drive it like it is. The body appears to be remarkably strait, the underside is in nice condition as well. The interior appears to be original and in very good condition. This particular excellent driver quality bird is finished in a older re-spray of pearl white with the attractive Landau top. However, the T-Bird still retained its leading market share over more qualified cars. However, it would take that 390 nearly 11 seconds to push the new heavy T-bird from 0-60. The restyling was in favor of a more squared-off “Formal” look with the only remnant of its earlier sporty years was that the standard engine would be a 390 cubic inch V8 pushing 300 HP. Contemporary testers felt that the Buick Riviera and Pontiac Grand Prix were substantially more roadworthy cars, but the Thunderbird retained its leading market share.For 1964, 65 and 66 the Thunderbird was in to its fourth generation of cars and now it would be advertised as a large personal luxury car.
